nationally recognized master
dance artists .
Dedicated to providing
professional development
opportunities for dancers,
teachers, and students,
CoDanceCo has brought back a
tradition of the former
Brookhaven Theater Dance
Guild, the Day of Dance.
Each year CoDanceCo presents
one or more full days of
master classes and special
workshops taught by
nationally recognized master
dance artists in a variety
of dance styles.
Initiated in the fall of
2007, to date CoDanceCo has
presented two Day of Dance
events
in partnership with its
Advisory Council. Guest
dance artists presented on
September 20, 2007 were
Ayodele Casel
(tap),
Sean Curran
(modern), Ana Garcia aka
Rokafella
(hip hop), and Chet
Walker (jazz/musical
theater). March 2, 2008 Day
of Dance featured James
Kinney (jazz/musical
theater) and Erika Pujic of Battleworks Dance Company
(modern).
